Job Title: Assistant HVAC/Plumbing Project Manager
Location: Sacramento, CA

Position Overview
We're hiring an Assistant HVAC/Plumbing Project Manager to support the successful execution of mechanical construction projects throughout the Sacramento area. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to grow their project management skills while working alongside experienced commercial HVAC and plumbing professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Project Managers with planning, scheduling, and coordinating HVAC and plumbing project activities.
  • Help manage budgets, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation.
  • Communicate with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to maintain project timelines and expectations.
  • Support project meetings, job walks, and coordination efforts with clients and stakeholders.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and shop drawings to ensure compliance with design intent and code requirements.
  • Use project management and construction software tools such as Bluebeam, MS Project, AutoCAD, and Revit.
  • Assist with procurement and material tracking throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree in construction management, mechanical engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) is preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience in the mechanical construction industry or commercial project coordination.
  • Basic understanding of HVAC and plumbing systems and their applications in commercial construction.
  • Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and time management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiar with construction management software.
  • Located in or near the Sacramento area, with the ability to travel to local job sites.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks software tools.
  • Familiarity with submittals, RFIs, and construction document workflows.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and mechanical schematics.
  • Eagerness to grow into a full Project Manager role.
