Job Summary
The BAS/Controls Senior Technician will be responsible for installing, programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting building automation systems. This role requires expertise in various control systems, particularly Tritium, Niagara, and Siemens, and a proven track record of stable work history with reputable commercial control contractors.
Key Responsibilities
Installed, programmed, and commission-built automation systems, including Tritium, Niagara, and Siemens.
Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of BAS equipment and controls.
Work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure seamless integration and functionality of control systems.
Conduct system testing and verification to ensure optimal performance and compliance with project specifications.
Provide technical support and training to clients and internal teams on BAS operations and maintenance.
Maintain detailed documentation of installations, configurations, and service activities.
Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Qualifications
Proven experience in building automation systems, specifically with Tritium, Niagara, and Siemens.
Stable work history with reputable commercial control contractors such as Sunbelt Controls, Climatec, or similar companies.
Strong knowledge of control system programming, integration, and commissioning.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical manuals.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clients and team members.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Local to Los Angeles, CA, or willing to relocate.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with other control systems such as Johnson Controls, Distech, and Medesis.
Certifications in relevant BAS technologies and systems.
Previous experience in a senior or lead technician role.
