Job Title: BAS/DDC Service Tech
Location: Ellensburg, WA
Job Summary
We seek an experienced Building Automation Systems (BAS) / Direct Digital Controls (DDC) Service Technician for a full-time role in Ellensburg, WA. The ideal candidate will have a local and stable work history and at least three years of hands-on experience servicing and optimizing BAS in commercial facilities. This position plays a key role in ensuring critical building systems' seamless operation, delivering energy efficiency and occupant comfort.
Key Responsibilities
Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance on building automation systems, including HVAC controls, chillers, air handlers, and VFDs.
Collaborate on system upgrades and commissioning new BAS installations, focusing on BACnet, DDC protocols, and industry-standard control systems.
Worked with leading BAS platforms such as Tridium Niagara, Alerton, ALC, and Distech, ensuring system performance and seamless integration.
Provide exceptional customer service by communicating technical findings, preparing detailed system reports, and delivering recommendations for enhanced system functionality.
Maintain accurate service documentation, including equipment modifications and system performance logs, utilizing tools like Bluebeam, AutoCAD, or Revit.
Qualifications
Minimum of three years of experience with BAS/DDC systems in commercial settings, focusing on HVAC controls, chillers, and related equipment.
Strong familiarity with BAS platforms, including Tridium Niagara, Distech, Alerton, and ALC, and protocols like BACnet and DDC controls.
Experience with design and documentation tools such as AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Revit is highly preferred.
Proven ability to independently diagnose and resolve complex BAS issues, coupled with excellent communication and organizational skills
A local and stable work history is required, demonstrating knowledge of area-specific building standards and consistent availability to minimize system downtime.
