Job Title: Building Automation Controls Design Engineer

We are currently seeking a talented Building Automation Controls Design Engineer with expertise in Tridium Niagara and Distech controls systems to join our growing team.
Responsibilities:
Design, program, and commission building automation systems (BAS) using Tridium Niagara and Distech control products.
Develop detailed control sequences of operation, system architecture diagrams, point-to-point wiring diagrams, and control panel layouts.
Collaborate with project managers, mechanical engineers, and field technicians to ensure the proper implementation of control system designs.
Perform site visits to assess existing control systems and provide recommendations for system upgrades and retrofits.
Troubleshoot and resolve system issues related to hardware, software, and network communications.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, products, and best practices in building automation and energy management.
Assist in preparing project proposals, cost estimates, and bid documents.
Provide technical support and training to customers and internal team members on the proper use and maintenance of control systems.
Maintain clear and accurate project documentation, including design specifications, as-built drawings, and commissioning reports.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in building automation system design and programming, specifically with Tridium Niagara and Distech control products.
Strong understanding of HVAC systems, including air handling units, chillers, boilers, and VAV systems.
Familiarity with industry standards and protocols, such as BACnet, Modbus, and LonWorks.
Proficient in computer-aided design (CAD) software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex control system issues.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to travel to local project sites as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
Professional Engineer (PE) license or Certified Energy Manager (CEM) designation.
Experience with energy management systems, including energy metering, demand response, and analytics.
Familiarity with LEED, Title 24, and other energy efficiency standards and codes.
