Summary
We seek a Building Automation Controls Project Manager to join our team in Manassas, VA. In this role, you will manage complex automation projects, ensuring they are executed efficiently and effectively, focusing on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with extensive knowledge of HVAC controls, Direct Digital Control (DDC) systems, and various building automation technologies.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the entire lifecycle of building automation projects, from planning to execution, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
- Work with BACnet and DDC control systems, ensuring seamless integration with building automation platforms, including Tridium Niagara, Distech, Alerton, and Johnson Controls Metasys.
- Collaborate with engineers and technicians to design and implement control solutions. Use software tools like AutoCAD and Visio for system design and documentation.
- Maintain strong communication with clients, providing project milestones updates and promptly addressing any concerns.
- Ensure all projects adhere to industry standards and best practices, particularly building automation, mechanical, and control systems.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience managing building automation or HVAC control projects, with a stable work history.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. An EIT or PE license is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of BACnet DDC controls and experience with various control systems such as Tridium Niagara, ALC, Schneider Electric, and Johnson Controls Metasys.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Visio is required for system design and documentation. Familiarity with MS Project or similar project management tools is preferred.
- Candidates should have experience in the local market and demonstrate the ability to manage projects specific to the Manassas area and surrounding regions.
- Experience with additional building automation platforms like Distech, Alerton, and Schneider Electric.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Familiarity with Bluebeam, Trimble AutoBid, or similar estimating
