Traveling Building Automation Project Manager - Data Centers
Location: Various locations across the US must be willing to travel.
Overview:
We seek a highly motivated and experienced Traveling Building Automation Project Manager with a strong background in large data center projects. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of HVAC systems and controls, with a proven track record of managing building automation projects. This role requires extensive travel to support our projects across the US.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
Oversee and manage large data center building automation projects from inception to completion.
Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure the smooth execution of projects.
Ensure projects are delivered on time within scope and budget.
Technical Expertise:
Provide technical guidance on HVAC and control system design, installation, and integration.
Review and approve project plans, specifications, and technical documents.
Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that arise during the project.
Travel & On-Site Management:
Be willing and available to travel extensively across the US to manage and oversee project sites.
Supervise on-site activities to ensure safety standards are met, and work is conducted efficiently.
Communication:
Act as clients' primary point of contact, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.
Provide regular project updates to both clients and internal stakeholders.
Facilitate effective communication among project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Documentation & Reporting:
Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all project details.
Prepare and present detailed project reports, including budget, timelines, and challenges.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in building automation project management, specifically with large data center projects.
In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems and controls.
Demonstrated ability to manage large projects from start to finish.
Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Willingness to travel extensively across the US.
Stable work history showcasing reliability and dedication.
