Traveling Building Automation Project Manager - Data Centers
Location: Various locations across the US must be willing to travel.
Overview:
We seek a highly motivated and experienced Traveling Building Automation Project Manager with a strong background in large data center projects. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of HVAC systems and controls, with a proven track record of managing building automation projects. This role requires extensive travel to support our projects across the US.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
- Oversee and manage large data center building automation projects from inception to completion.
- Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure the smooth execution of projects.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time within scope and budget.
Technical Expertise:
- Provide technical guidance on HVAC and control system design, installation, and integration.
- Review and approve project plans, specifications, and technical documents.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that arise during the project.
Travel & On-Site Management:
- Be willing and available to travel extensively across the US to manage and oversee project sites.
- Supervise on-site activities to ensure safety standards are met, and work is conducted efficiently.
Communication:
- Act as clients' primary point of contact, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.
- Provide regular project updates to both clients and internal stakeholders.
- Facilitate effective communication among project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all project details.
- Prepare and present detailed project reports, including budget, timelines, and challenges.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in building automation project management, specifically with large data center projects.
- In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems and controls.
- Demonstrated ability to manage large projects from start to finish.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively across the US.
- Stable work history showcasing reliability and dedication.
