This role is centered around improving the energy efficiency and overall performance of buildings through cutting-edge engineering solutions. The perfect candidate will blend analytical rigor, technical depth, and a fervent dedication to sustainable building practices, addressing a wide array of energy efficiency and building performance projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and refine HVAC control sequences to elevate building performance and energy efficiency.
  • Execute both field commissioning and monitoring-based commissioning for new and existing buildings.
  • Analyze extensive building operation and utility data to uncover actionable energy conservation measures.
  • Carry out detailed energy assessments and audits, leading to EnergyStar certifications and other recognitions.
  • Drive the development of energy-saving projects, from conceptualization to verification, utilizing precise measurement and verification techniques.
  • Implement and interpret results from fault detection and diagnostics software to enhance building operations.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Energy Management, or a closely related discipline.
  • Solid experience with ASHRAE guidelines, energy modeling, and understanding of building mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Skillful in computer programming for building simulations and proficient in using data visualization tools to interpret energy data.
  • Exceptional analytical abilities, adept at troubleshooting complex issues related to building systems.
  • Capable of working autonomously, efficiently managing time across multiple projects with varying timelines.

Preferred:
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or Professional Engineer (PE), or actively working towards such credentials.
  • Deep understanding of Direct Digital Controls (DDC) theory, advanced energy management strategies, and familiarity with renewable energy solutions integrated into building designs.
