Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a skilled Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join our team in Riverside, CA. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise with large rooftop units (RTUs), split systems, variable air volume (VAV) systems, variable refrigerant flow (VRF) systems, chillers, and boilers. Candidates should have an EPA certification and a clean driving record.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Perform maintenance, service, and repairs on commercial HVAC systems, specifically large RTUs, split systems, VAVs, VRFs, chillers, and boilers.
  2. Diagnose and troubleshoot complex HVAC issues, providing timely and effective solutions.
  3. Interpret and work according to system blueprints and specifications.
  4. Carry out preventative maintenance tasks to enhance system longevity and prevent system failures.
  5. Ensure compliance with all relevant state and local regulations and adhere to all safety protocols during work execution.
  6. Maintain clear and effective communication with customers, explaining technical concepts in understandable terms and offering maintenance tips when appropriate.
  7. Keep meticulous records of each service performed, including time spent, actions taken, and parts used.
  8. Care for and maintain company vehicle and equipment, keeping items in clean and operational condition.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Must be local to Riverside, CA.
  2. Possession of a valid EPA certification.
  3. Clean driving record.
  4. Demonstrated experience in servicing and repairing HVAC systems including large RTUs, split systems, VAVs, VRFs, chillers, and boilers.
  5. Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to make informed decisions independently.
  6. Strong customer service and communication skills.
  7. Ability to safely lift heavy equipment and parts.
