Description:

We seek a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Plumbing/HVAC Project Manager to join our dynamic San Francisco Bay Area team. This role demands a professional with a solid track record in managing large-scale commercial mechanical construction projects. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional skills in estimating change orders, submitting RFIs (Request for Information), ensuring that all projects are finished safely, adhering to code, and exceeding customer expectations regarding quality, time, and budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee all phases of commercial mechanical construction projects, focusing on plumbing and HVAC systems.
  • Conduct accurate estimation of change orders and effectively handle RFIs.
  • Ensure project completion meets the highest safety standards, building codes, and quality specifications.
  • Deliver projects that meet or exceed customer expectations within the stipulated timeline and budget.
  • Coordinate effectively with vendors, subcontractors, and project stakeholders to ensure smooth execution.
  • Utilize estimating and scheduling software proficiently, including Bluebeam, MS Project, and other relevant tools.
  • Monitor and control project costs to maintain budget constraints.
  • Provide regular project updates to senior management and clients.
  • Resolve any project-related issues or conflicts in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Foster a culture of safety and compliance on all project sites.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial mechanical construction, focusing on plumbing and HVAC systems.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale commercial projects.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and construction best practices.
  • Advanced skills in estimating and scheduling software (e.g., Bluebeam, MS Project).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
