Overview: We are on the lookout for an experienced Commercial Refrigeration Technician to join our team in Boise, ID. This position is ideal for a professional skilled in maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing various refrigeration systems and temperature-controlled units, predominantly within the food retail sector. Responsibilities:
  • Carry out routine and preventative maintenance on diverse refrigeration systems and self-contained temperature units.
  • Accurately diagnose and rectify issues within refrigeration racks or single-unit systems, including conducting leak repairs, component replacements, and overseeing system installations.
  • Fabricate and install necessary supports and piping, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to precisely complete repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Effectively manage and document service tickets and project specifics, maintaining clear and timely communications.
  • Keep a well-maintained and stocked service vehicle, following all maintenance schedules and safety protocols diligently.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships by delivering exceptional service and communicating technical information efficiently.

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • At least 5 years of field experience or 3 years with a Technical School Certification in HVAC-R.
  • Demonstrated ability in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems.
  • Knowledge of electrical schematics and basic electrical principles.
  • Proficiency in safely handling refrigerants and other hazardous materials.

Preferred:
  • HVAC-R Technical School Degree.
  • Experience with specific refrigeration brands and models highly regarded.
