Overview:
We are looking for a Construction Project Coordinator to join our team, focusing on commercial construction projects. This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, organized, and has a keen eye for detail, thriving in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting project management tasks, coordinating effectively between teams, and ensuring project documentation and execution are handled efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Assist project managers, superintendents, and field crews in developing and executing detailed project plans.
- Coordinate communication and material, equipment, and information requests between project management, field crews, subcontractors, and clients.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing and tracking of material orders, creation of purchase orders, and maintenance of project documentation.
- Participate in project planning meetings and coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure project requirements are met.
- Manage submittal and close-out documentation, including tracking approvals, changes, and re-submissions.
- Oversee on-site rental equipment coordination and maintain updated documentation for change orders and RFIs.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated proficiency in diagnosing and resolving electronic, mechanical, and electrical components relevant to construction projects.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with a proven track record of supporting successful commercial construction projects.
- Comprehensive understanding of construction processes, including material ordering, subcontractor coordination, and documentation management.
- Ability to navigate and utilize project management software and tools effectively.
- Local and stable work history in the construction industry, showcasing a commitment to project excellence and team collaboration.
Preferred:
- Experience in ensuring adherence to safety practices and identifying potential project hazards.
