This role will require close collaboration with customers, vendors, and internal teams to deliver tailored solutions, manage project development, and establish long-term business relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Developed Fire and Life Safety project scopes and solutions, ensuring comprehensive proposals for customers across the Nebraska and Iowa markets.
- Interpret customer requirements from drawings, specifications, and meetings and suggest value-driven alternatives to position our offerings competitively.
- Manage pre-construction opportunities and coordinate estimating efforts alongside sales and operations teams, aligning project budgets with client needs.
- Develop and maintain a strong funnel of sales opportunities, consistently forecasting and delivering expected order intake.
- Build strategic relationships with key decision-makers, uncover new market opportunities, and develop "go to market" strategies to increase market share in fire safety solutions.
- High School Diploma or state-recognized GED.
- Minimum of 2+ years (Senior Sales Executive level) or 5+ years (Account Executive level) of experience in sales, business development, or consulting in commercial fire alarm/life safety or similar commercial building construction industries.
- Solid understanding of fire and life safety systems, including equipment, installation, and regulatory standards such as IFC, IBC, and NFPA.
- Proven ability to independently estimate and sell technical solutions, focusing on long-term account management and strategic sales growth.
- Strong organizational, presentation, and negotiation skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- A local and stable work history, a valid driver's license, and the ability to travel as needed are essential.
- Experience selling fire safety solutions to electrical and general contractors.
- Knowledge of vertical markets like healthcare, education, and government.
- Familiarity with fire alarm design and collaboration with fire protection engineers.
