Job Title: Commercial HVAC Design Engineer

Location: Orange County, CA

Summary:

We are currently seeking a talented and dedicated Commercial HVAC Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in HVAC system design and a strong command of AutoCAD and Revit. A BSME is required, and EIT or PE license is strongly preferred. This role requires a stable work history in the local area and a commitment to deliver quality engineering solutions.

Responsibilities:

  1. Design and oversee the installation of HVAC systems for commercial applications.
  2. Use AutoCAD and Revit to create detailed and accurate HVAC design plans.
  3. Develop, design, and evaluate mechanical components and systems.
  4. Analyze HVAC systems for efficiency improvements and system upgrades.
  5. Coordinate with team members, architects, and other engineering disciplines for project completion.
  6. Review, interpret, and use architectural, structural, and mechanical plans.
  7. Manage project deliverables to stay on time and within budget.
  8. Ensure all HVAC designs adhere to the guidelines and safety standards of local, state, and federal regulations.
  9. Participate in job site visits to ensure designs are being implemented correctly.
  10. Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues that arise during construction.
  11. Stay current with the latest technological advancements in the HVAC industry.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) is required.
  2. EIT or PE license is strongly preferred.
  3. Minimum of three years of experience in commercial HVAC design.
  4. Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit.
  5. Strong understanding of HVAC design, installation, and system operations.
  6. Knowledge of HVAC codes and standards.
  7. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  8. Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  9. Stable work history in the local area.
  10. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  11. Valid driver's license.
