HVAC Engineering Manager 

Location: Orange County, CA

About Us: We are a leading company in the HVAC industry, dedicated to providing top-notch solutions to our clients. We seek an Engineering Manager to lead our dynamic engineering and customer service teams.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead the engineering and customer service departments, ensuring effective collaboration and high performance.
  • Hire, recruit, and onboard new talent for the technical engineering department.
  • Collaborate with outside sales teams and technical engineers to manage and review projects for bidding.
  • Coordinate and oversee the efforts of customer service and Inside Engineers.
  • Develop and implement internal and factory training programs for the engineering group.
  • Manage unassigned account sales and support, including selections, proposals, orders, quality issues, and submittals.
  • Provide backup support for engineering and outside sales efforts, such as selections, drawings, and literature.
  • Prepare and deliver sales projection and project tracking reports for Manufacturer Regional Sales Managers.
  • Handle project management for jobs the inside sales team needs to work on, including selections, proposals, and submittals.
  • Track and follow up on bids and lost orders to ensure optimal business development.
  • Maintain a comprehensive customer database, coordinating closely with the sales and engineering group.
  • Serve as a vendor liaison, including vendor visits, training, and webinars.
  • Collaborate with upper management to support business analysis, pricing strategies, and profitability assessments.
  • Provide vendor support, including software training, sales support, and addressing warranty issues.

Qualifications

  • Mechanical Engineering Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in the HVAC industry.
  • Quick learning capabilities with the ability to become an expert on our business systems.
  • Proficiency in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
  • Experience in warranty systems is a plus.
