Key Responsibilities
- Sales and Business Development: Identify, pursue, and secure new commercial HVAC projects through client engagement, site visits, and networking. Maintain and expand customer relationships, fostering repeat business.
- Estimating and Proposal Preparation: Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates and proposals for commercial HVAC projects, ensuring they align with project specifications and budgets.
- Project Management: Oversee assigned HVAC projects from initiation to closeout, ensuring on-time, on-budget, and quality delivery. Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to meet project milestones.
- Technical Expertise: Apply knowledge in HVAC system design, installation, and maintenance to ensure the highest standards in project planning and execution—advanced tools, including Bluebeam, MS Project, and AutoCAD, support project documentation and coordination.
- Client Satisfaction and Retention: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and issues promptly, ensuring high client satisfaction, and securing long-term partnerships.
- Education: A degree or certification in HVAC, mechanical engineering, or a related field is preferred but optional, based on practical experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in commercial HVAC installation or service and 3 years in HVAC sales and estimating, with a strong understanding of local market demands.
- Project and Client Management Skills: Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, committed to delivering top-quality results for clients.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Bluebeam, MS Project, and HVAC-specific software like AutoCAD or Revit is desirable. Knowledge of building automation systems (such as Tridium Niagara, Johnson Controls Metasys, and BACnet) is also desirable.
- Local Expertise: Demonstrated, stable work history within the San Francisco Bay Area, with an established network and understanding of local HVAC industry standards.
