Position Summary:

The HVAC Superintendent will oversee the daily operations of HVAC piping and sheet metal installation projects, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standard. The ideal candidate will have a solid and stable work history in the local area, with extensive experience supervising large commercial and industrial piping systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, directed, and supervise all HVAC piping and sheet metal installation activities on assigned projects
  • Oversee a team of workers, providing leadership, guidance, and mentoring as needed
  • Ensure all work is completed to specifications, within budget, and on schedule
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders
  • Enforce strict safety protocols and quality control standards
  • Review and interpret blueprints, specifications, and contract documents
  • Conduct on-site inspections and quality control checks
  • Resolve field problems and conflicts, liaising with engineers, architects, and owners as necessary
  • Prepare and submit progress reports and other required documentation
  • Assist with the hiring, training, and development of new employees

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in HVAC piping and sheet metal installation
  • Proven experience supervising large commercial and industrial piping systems
  • Local, stable work history in the HVAC field
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, equipment, and industry best practices
  • Familiarity with local, state, and federal building codes and regulations
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • OSHA certification preferred

Educational Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Trade school or vocational training in HVAC or related fields preferred
