Job Overview
We seek an experienced and driven Lead Piping Installer to join our San Diego, CA team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in installing various commercial piping systems and expertise in hydronic, steam, and water distribution piping. This role requires a high level of technical skill, leadership capabilities, and dedication to delivering high-quality results in a safety-conscious environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the installation of commercial piping systems, including chilled water, hot water, condenser water, steam, and hydronic systems by project blueprints and specifications.
  • Oversee a team of installers, ensuring all work adheres to industry standards, company protocols, and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to coordinate and execute piping installations efficiently and effectively.
  • Perform system testing and inspections to ensure all installations meet quality and safety standards.
  • Interpret and read blueprints, technical drawings, and other project documents to determine layout and pipe sizing.
  • Train and mentor junior installers, fostering a team-oriented and results-driven environment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during the installation process.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in commercial piping installation, focusing on chilled water, hot water, condenser water, steam, and hydronic systems.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role, supervising and coordinating the work of other installers.
  • Strong understanding of piping layouts, blueprint reading, and project specifications.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently and with urgency.
  • Knowledge of industry safety standards and best practices.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work within a team environment.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Preferred
  • Relevant technical certifications or licenses related to piping and mechanical systems.
  • Familiarity with local codes and regulations about commercial piping installations.
