Job Summary
We seek a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Foreman / Special Projects Project Manager to join our Los Angeles, CA team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in mechanical fieldwork, specifically within the commercial HVAC industry, and possess project management expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Managed and oversaw special mechanical projects, including installation, maintenance, and service for commercial HVAC systems.
- Lead and direct teams in the field, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
- Coordinate project timelines, including scheduling, labor, materials, and subcontractor management.
- Work closely with building owners, contractors, and internal teams to meet project requirements and address any issues or change orders that arise.
- Provide technical guidance and support to field teams, ensuring high-quality workmanship.
- Manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective execution and timely delivery of services.
- Prepare and submit reports on project progress, labor hours, materials used, and any changes to the scope of work.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their satisfaction and promptly addressing concerns.
- A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is optional.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical fieldwork, with a background in HVAC systems, sheet metal, or piping.
- Progression from field installation or service roles into project management is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience managing commercial HVAC projects, including piping, applied mechanical equipment (such as chillers), and related systems.
- Strong understanding of project management processes, including scheduling, budget management, and change order administration.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage teams and coordinate with various stakeholders.
- Local candidates with a stable work history are strongly preferred.
