Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Mechanical Preconstruction Engineer to join our team in Ventura, CA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, focusing on large-scale projects involving plumbing, piping, and HVAC systems. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful planning and execution of preconstruction phases for mechanical projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with design and project management teams to develop comprehensive preconstruction plans for mechanical projects.
- Analyze project specifications, blueprints, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
- Manage the design and engineering processes for plumbing, piping, and HVAC systems in various settings, including laboratories and other heavy-focus mechanical piping environments.
- Provide technical support and expertise during preconstruction to ensure projects meet all necessary codes, standards, and performance specifications.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to align project goals and expectations.
- Ensure the stability and efficiency of preconstruction processes through diligent planning and problem-solving.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- EIT or PE licenses are preferred but not required.
- Proven experience in design and engineering, project management, or preconstruction roles within the mechanical contracting industry.
- Strong understanding of significant project dynamics related to plumbing, piping, and HVAC systems.
- Local candidates with a stable work history are preferred.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to effectively collaborate with various project stakeholders.
