Job Title: Mechanical Systems Commissioning Specialist

Overview:
Seeking a dedicated Mechanical Systems Commissioning Specialist to ensure the optimal operation of HVAC and plumbing systems post-construction. This role demands a proactive individual who excels in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. The ideal candidate will be committed to ensuring project success and client satisfaction through effective system testing, coordination, and problem-solving.

Responsibilities:
  • Validate the operational performance of HVAC and plumbing systems in line with project specifications to guarantee system efficiency and design compliance.
  • Facilitate a comprehensive project closeout, ensuring client and owner satisfaction with the system's performance.
  • Support project management teams in the coordination of start-up, commissioning, and closeout activities.
  • Promote and ensure adherence to safety practices, actively identifying and mitigating project hazards.
  • Execute installation verifications, pre-start-up checks, system start-ups, and commissioning tasks.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors, including Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing (TAB), controls, and equipment manufacturers, to coordinate commissioning activities.
  • Address and assist in the correction of system deficiencies, documenting significant issues for process improvement.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling and a self-motivated approach to complete tasks efficiently.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience in commissioning HVAC and plumbing systems within the commercial construction industry.
  • Solid understanding of mechanical systems and current industry standards.
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation such as blueprints, specifications, installation and operation manuals, and submittals.
  • Local and stable work history, reflecting a dedication to excellence in mechanical systems commissioning.
