Overview:
We are in search of a VDC/BIM Coordinator-Modeler with specialized expertise in commercial and industrial mechanical systems, including plumbing, piping, HVAC, and sheet metal. This role is based in Phoenix, AZ, and requires a candidate with a strong local presence and at least 4 years of robust experience using Revit and Navisworks for advanced modeling and coordination.
Responsibilities:
Develop and manage detailed BIM models for mechanical systems using Revit and Navisworks, ensuring precision and compliance with all project specifications.
Lead the coordination process for complex mechanical installations, managing clash detection and resolution effectively.
Engage in all stages of the BIM project lifecycle, enhancing model accuracy and project coordination from conception through completion.
Work collaboratively with project teams, including architects, mechanical engineers, and contractors, to integrate mechanical system designs seamlessly.
Conduct BIM coordination meetings, presenting models, clash reports, and resolving issues to streamline project execution.
Stay abreast of the latest advancements in BIM technology and mechanical construction to continuously improve modeling and coordination practices.
Qualifications:
At least 4 years of dedicated experience in BIM modeling and coordination, specifically with expertise in Revit and Navisworks.
Solid background in modeling and coordinating mechanical systems such as plumbing, piping, HVAC, and sheet metal, particularly in commercial and industrial settings.
Proven ability to manage complex coordination efforts, including extensive clash detection and resolution.
Strong knowledge of mechanical construction processes and the integration of various mechanical disciplines into BIM models.
Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
Stable work history within the Phoenix area, demonstrating a strong local network.
