Job Description:

The Plumbing and HVAC Design Engineer will be responsible for the design, planning, and development of plumbing and HVAC systems for commercial projects. This role will involve the use of design software such as Revit and the application of engineering principles to create efficient and effective systems. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, preferably with an EIT or PE license.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and engineer plumbing and HVAC systems for commercial projects, ensuring they meet project requirements and adhere to all applicable codes and standards.

  2. Use Revit to create detailed and accurate models and plans for plumbing and HVAC systems.

  3. Coordinate with other project stakeholders, including architects, contractors, and project managers, to integrate the plumbing and HVAC design into the overall project design.

  4. Review and analyze specifications, blueprints, and other project documents to ensure accuracy and feasibility.

  5. Conduct site visits and surveys as needed to gather necessary data for design work.


  1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.

  2. Minimum of 3 years of design and engineering experience for plumbing and HVAC in commercial buildings.

  3. Proficiency with Revit and other relevant design software.

  4. EIT or PE license is highly preferred.

  5. Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

  6. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  7. Must have a stable work history and be local to the Orange County, CA area.
