Plumbing Project Manager [Commercial Construction]

Overview

Work within the project management division of a full-service self-performing plumbing construction company with an excellent reputation. Typical responsibilities include estimating (take-off & analysis), scheduling material deliveries and workforce, submitting RFIs (Requests for Information), preparing submittal packages, among other tasks.

Responsibilities

Oversee multiple aspects of commercial plumbing in commercial buildings, including high rises, schools, airports, medical, labs, data centers, pharmaceutical, stadiums, among others.
Projects include ground-up, installation, and retrofits. They will vary in size and scope from 100k to 10 million+ and include Design-Build, Design-Assist, Design-Bid-Build, Plan-Spec, and Negotiated work.
Balance time between the office and one or multiple job site(s) as needed, and attend meetings (kick-off, preconstruction, coordination, BIM, QC, safety, planning, commissioning, etc.) from project inception to completion.
Work with internal (management, estimating, preconstruction, fabrication, design, detailing, installation, safety, QC, legal, purchasing) stakeholders and external (general contractors, building owners, other subcontractors [such as controls and insulation]), suppliers, distributors, and other business partners/vendors.
Assist with surveying, planning and design, value engineering, purchasing, fabrication, equipment and material deliveries, equipment buyouts, coordination with Field Foreman and Superintendents, prepare conceptual and detailed bid documents, cost estimates, scheduling (Gantt charts and project timelines), submitting change orders and RFIs, review additional construction documents, forecasting, document control, POs, track labor and materials, budgeting (creating, managing, and maintaining), and close-out documentation tasks.

Requirements

Eight or more years of experience in construction, mechanical contracting, project engineering, estimating, or engineering plumbing systems.
Knowledge in commercial plumbing systems, verbal and written communication, always be on time, and a reliable team member.
Familiar with federal, state, and local building and OSHA safety requirements.
Local and stable work history.

Nice to Have

Prior hands-on commercial plumbing installation experience.
Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management
Plumbing, EIT, or PE Licenses.
LEED AP Certification
Construction software experience: AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, BIM360, Glue, MS Project, BlueBeam, Primavera, Timberline, Procore, Prolog, Quickpen, Trimble Autobid, among other similar applications.
Familiarity with construction accounting.
