Job Description:
The Commercial Plumbing-HVAC Preconstruction Engineer will be responsible for the planning, estimating, engineering, and preconstruction tasks associated with large commercial building projects. This role will involve collaboration with design teams, architects, and project managers to ensure optimal design and cost-effectiveness. The successful candidate will have a solid background in engineering, estimating, sales, and preconstruction in large commercial building projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed cost estimates for HVAC and plumbing systems in large commercial building projects.
- Work with design teams and architects to optimize system designs and ensure they align with project specifications and budget.
- Evaluate and anticipate potential challenges and risks associated with projects and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Collaborate with sales teams to generate competitive bids and proposals for new projects.
- Actively participate in project planning and preconstruction activities, ensuring all considerations for HVAC and plumbing systems are addressed.
- Maintain communication with project stakeholders to ensure expectations are met and any changes or issues are addressed promptly.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in engineering, estimating, sales, and preconstruction for large commercial building projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is required.
- Proficiency in industry-specific software for design and estimating.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial buildings.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Must have a stable work history and be local to the Garden Grove, CA area.
