We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Commercial Plumbing/HVAC Preconstruction Sales Engineer to join our team in San Diego. This role is perfect for someone who combines strong technical skills with a passion for sales and preconstruction project planning.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the sales and preconstruction teams to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Develop comprehensive project estimates and deliver sales presentations to potential clients.
- Apply value engineering principles to optimize project outcomes while minimizing costs.
- Manage sales in various project domains including commercial buildings, public works, hospitals, schools, labs, high rises, and hotels.
- Utilize technical software including AutoCAD, Revit, Trimble AutoBid, and Bluebeam for design and estimation purposes.
- Collaborate with project management and design teams to ensure customer needs and project requirements are met.
- Maintain strong client relationships, leading to repeat business and positive referrals.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitors to maintain a competitive edge.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) is required.
- EIT or PE license is preferred.
- Strong background in commercial plumbing and HVAC estimating and sales.
- Experience in value engineering and preconstruction project planning.
- Previous work on large projects in various domains including commercial buildings, public works, hospitals, schools, labs, high rises, and hotels.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Trimble AutoBid, and Bluebeam.
- Stable work history, demonstrating reliability and commitment.
- Local candidates or those willing to relocate to San Diego, CA.
