This role focuses on driving sales opportunities and achieving profit goals by developing tailored solutions for each client while staying informed on market trends and competitor offerings.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategies to expand building automation control solutions within the Nebraska and Iowa markets, targeting new construction opportunities.
- Engage in customer site visits, scope development, job walks, and in-person/remote meetings to better understand client needs and provide customized solutions.
- Collaborate with estimators, contractors, and internal teams to develop comprehensive proposals, ensuring alignment with technical handovers and risk mitigation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, identify new market opportunities, and develop " go-to-market" strategies.
- Actively participate in industry organizations such as ASHRAE, AEE, and USGBC, leveraging networking opportunities to promote building automation solutions.
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in sales or customer-facing roles within the building automation industry or related fields such as commercial HVAC or large commercial construction.
- Proven knowledge and experience with building automation systems.
- Strong financial acumen to independently estimate, present, and sell technical solutions and service offerings.
- Demonstrated success in account development, strategic sales, and negotiation, with excellent organizational and presentation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- A local and stable work history, a valid driver's license, and the ability to travel as needed are essential.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Exceptional communication skills to effectively interact with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
- Capacity to stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies in building automation systems.
- Ability to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities to drive growth in new markets or segments.
