We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Chiller Technician specializing in water-cooled chillers for our operations in Austin, TX. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of water-cooled chillers across various settings, such as hospitals, data centers, and industrial plants. This role requires a deep understanding of chiller types, components, and integration with cooling tower systems. Local candidates with a stable work history are preferred.
Responsibilities
Install, Maintain, and Repair: Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of water-cooled chillers, ensuring efficient and reliable operation.
System Diagnostics: Diagnose and resolve issues with chiller components, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, expansion valves, control units, water boxes, cooling towers, pumps, and heat exchangers.
Routine Inspections: Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance and longevity of equipment.
Technical Expertise: Utilize advanced knowledge of piping systems, valves, and water flow management to maintain and troubleshoot chiller systems.
Vendor Coordination: Work with various chiller brands such as Trane, Carrier, York, Johnson Controls, Dyken, American Chillers, Whaley, and Multistack.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience with water-cooled chillers.
Technical Knowledge: Expertise in chiller components and systems, including cooling tower integration and heat exchange mechanisms.
Certifications: OEM certifications are a plus; OEM experience is preferred.
Local and Stable Work History: Proven track record of stable employment in the Austin area.
