The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in commercial HVAC systems, particularly with large-scale projects, and have a proven track record of delivering high-quality engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, analysis, and implementation of complex HVAC systems for commercial projects, ensuring compliance with industry codes and standards.
- Perform detailed HVAC system load calculations, energy modeling, and performance assessments to optimize system efficiency.
- Develop accurate project estimates and engage in value engineering to deliver cost-effective and sustainable HVAC solutions.
- Collaborate closely with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of HVAC systems with other building components.
- Oversee the preparation and maintenance of detailed project documentation, including schematics, specifications, and technical reports.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and project teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Must be a local candidate with a stable and verifiable employment history.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial HVAC engineering, with a strong emphasis on large-scale applied equipment projects.
- Proficient in industry-standard HVAC design software, including AutoCAD, Revit, and energy modeling tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to lead complex engineering projects from concept to completion.
- Experience with advanced estimating software and emerging HVAC technologies.
- In-depth knowledge of building codes, regulations, and sustainability practices in HVAC design.
