Commercial HVAC Service/Start-Up Technician (San Francisco, CA)

We seek an experienced Commercial HVAC Service/Start-Up Technician to join our growing team.

Position Summary:

The Commercial HVAC Service/Start-Up Technician will be responsible for the service, maintenance, and start-up of large-tonnage HVAC equipment, including chillers, boilers, VRFs, and BAS systems. Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain large-tonnage commercial HVAC systems
  • Start up and commission new HVAC systems, ensuring they operate efficiently and meet client requirements
  • Perform preventative maintenance to extend the life of HVAC systems and reduce the likelihood of failure
  • Work closely with our engineering team to provide technical input on system design and modifications
  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
  • Assist with emergency service calls, as needed
  • Document service and maintenance activities
  • Comply with all safety protocols and procedures

Qualifications:

  • Minimum five years of experience working with large tonnage commercial HVAC equipment, including chillers, boilers, VRFs, and BAS systems
  • EPA Certification required
  • Clean driving record
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Trade school or Associate degree in HVAC highly preferred
