Commercial HVAC Service/Start-Up Technician (San Francisco, CA)

Position Summary:
The Commercial HVAC Service/Start-Up Technician will be responsible for the service, maintenance, and start-up of large-tonnage HVAC equipment, including chillers, boilers, VRFs, and BAS systems. Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain large-tonnage commercial HVAC systems
- Start up and commission new HVAC systems, ensuring they operate efficiently and meet client requirements
- Perform preventative maintenance to extend the life of HVAC systems and reduce the likelihood of failure
- Work closely with our engineering team to provide technical input on system design and modifications
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Assist with emergency service calls, as needed
- Document service and maintenance activities
- Comply with all safety protocols and procedures
Qualifications:
- Minimum five years of experience working with large tonnage commercial HVAC equipment, including chillers, boilers, VRFs, and BAS systems
- EPA Certification required
- Clean driving record
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High school diploma or equivalent; Trade school or Associate degree in HVAC highly preferred
