Job Summary
We seek a highly skilled and experienced Technical Engineering Manager to lead our Commercial HVAC engineering team in Orange County, CA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC engineering, particularly with large commercial applied equipment, and possess leadership qualities to manage and mentor a team of engineers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the HVAC engineering team, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Design, evaluate, and oversee the installation of HVAC systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and seamless integration with other building systems.
  • Conduct detailed HVAC system analysis, including load calculations, energy modeling, and system optimization to ensure efficiency and performance.
  • Review and approve project documentation, including schematics and specifications, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project requirements.
  • Work closely with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to align project goals and deliver solutions that meet client expectations.
  • Participate in value engineering and cost estimation processes to optimize project budgets without compromising quality or performance.
  • Ensure all projects meet or exceed relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
Qualifications
  • Must be a resident with a stable and verifiable employment history in Orange County, CA.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial HVAC engineering, with at least two years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Strong expertise in HVAC design software and tools, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and estimating software.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers, with excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with advanced HVAC technologies and sustainable building practices.
  • In-depth knowledge of local and national building codes and regulations.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
