Job Summary
We seek a highly skilled and experienced Technical Engineering Manager to lead our Commercial HVAC engineering team in Orange County, CA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC engineering, particularly with large commercial applied equipment, and possess leadership qualities to manage and mentor a team of engineers.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the HVAC engineering team, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Design, evaluate, and oversee the installation of HVAC systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and seamless integration with other building systems.
Conduct detailed HVAC system analysis, including load calculations, energy modeling, and system optimization to ensure efficiency and performance.
Review and approve project documentation, including schematics and specifications, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project requirements.
Work closely with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to align project goals and deliver solutions that meet client expectations.
Participate in value engineering and cost estimation processes to optimize project budgets without compromising quality or performance.
Ensure all projects meet or exceed relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
Qualifications
Must be a resident with a stable and verifiable employment history in Orange County, CA.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial HVAC engineering, with at least two years in a leadership or managerial role.
Strong expertise in HVAC design software and tools, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and estimating software.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
Proven ability to lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers, with excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
