We seek an experienced and highly motivated Technical Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team in Los Angeles, CA. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in commercial HVAC systems, with a strong focus on managing large-scale projects and teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the engineering team, providing technical guidance mentorship and ensuring the successful completion of projects on time and within budget.
- Lead the design, evaluation, and implementation of HVAC systems for large commercial projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct detailed HVAC system analyses, including load calculations, energy modeling, and system optimization. Provide technical support during all project phases.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers, architects, and contractors, to ensure seamless integration of other building systems.
- Ensure all project documentation, including schematics and specifications, is accurate and up-to-date. Utilize industry-standard software to manage and review engineering designs.
- Participate in value engineering and cost estimation to optimize project efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Ensure projects are delivered within the allocated budget.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, address their technical concerns, and ensure satisfaction with the project outcomes.
- A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 5 years in commercial HVAC engineering with a strong focus on large-scale projects. At least three years in a management or leadership role.
- Proficient in HVAC design software and tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and other industry-standard applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Must be a local candidate with a stable and verifiable employment history.
- Familiarity with advanced HVAC technologies and estimating software.
- Strong understanding of local and national building codes and regulations.
- PMP certification or similar project management credentials are a plus.
