Chiller Systems Technician

Summary: We are on the lookout for a Chiller Systems Technician in Phoenix, specializing in the maintenance and repair of various types of chillers, including centrifugal, magnetic, water-cooled, air-cooled, and screw chillers. Ideal candidates will be local professionals with a stable work history and at least three years of experience in chiller operations, seeking a dynamic role in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of centrifugal, magnetic, water-cooled, air-cooled, and screw chillers.
- Diagnose operational problems and make on-site repairs to ensure minimal downtime.
- Regularly monitor the performance of chiller systems, making adjustments to optimize energy efficiency and performance.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, system performance, and repairs.
- Educate clients and onsite staff on basic chiller maintenance and operation procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental policies and regulations related to chiller systems.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years of hands-on experience in maintaining and repairing various chiller systems.
- Strong understanding of both mechanical and electrical components of chiller units.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and repair issues promptly.
- Proven record of reliability and responsibility from previous employment, preferably in similar non-union environments.
- Effective communication skills, capable of explaining technical details to non-technical audiences.
- EPA Certification or other relevant HVAC certifications are highly desirable.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to participate in emergency service rotation and respond to calls outside of normal working hours as needed.
