This role is perfect for someone who has transitioned from hands-on welding and piping work into leadership positions, particularly in non-union settings akin to environments like TD Industries or Comfort Systems. A strong local presence and a history of stability within the industry are essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and oversee all piping project operations, ensuring they are completed efficiently, on schedule, and meet all quality standards.
  • Manage teams of welders and pipefitters, enhancing team performance and productivity through effective leadership and mentoring.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and building codes throughout all project stages.
  • Perform regular site evaluations to monitor progress and enforce quality control measures.
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other construction specialists to optimize project execution.
  • Maintain detailed records of project activities, including staff performance, compliance, and progress tracking.
  • Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement among all team members.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in piping systems and small and big bore welding, with prior roles in supervision or management.
  • Proven track record in a leadership role, ideally in non-union settings.
  • Familiarity with the technical and safety requirements of complex piping and welding projects.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, capable of motivating and guiding diverse teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, capable of coordinating with multiple stakeholders and conveying technical information clearly.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel locally as needed.
