Job Description
We seek an experienced Building Automation Controls Estimator to join our dynamic team. This role involves estimating and sales support for building automation and control projects, delivering accurate and competitive bids to our clients.
Responsibilities
Develop comprehensive estimates for building automation and control projects.
Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to understand project requirements.
Review and interpret blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
Analyze labor, material, and time requirements for project proposals.
Provide sales support, including preparing presentations and proposals.
Maintain knowledge of current industry trends and technologies.
Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as required.
Requirements
Minimum of 8 years of experience in control installation, service sales, and estimating.
Strong knowledge of building automation systems and controls.
Proficient in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
Must be based in San Diego, CA, or willing to relocate.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Experience with energy management systems.
