We are currently seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Estimator to join our fast-paced, customer-centric team. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of HVAC systems and experience using Trimble AutoBid software.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop detailed HVAC estimates using Trimble AutoBid software for commercial projects.
Analyze and understand blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for projects.
Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors.
Obtain bids from vendors and subcontractors by specifying materials, identifying qualified subcontractors, and negotiating prices.
Maintain relationships with general contractors and attend industry events to foster partnerships.
Assist in the preparation of budget, cost reports, and other financial analyses.
Coordinate with other company professionals, such as engineers and architects, to ensure the estimates are accurate.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 3 years of HVAC estimating experience.
Proficiency in Trimble AutoBid software is a must.
Thorough understanding of HVAC systems, operations, and associated cost trends.
Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints and plans.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Must have a stable work history in the local area.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
