Job Description:

The Commercial HVAC Start-Up Service Technician will be responsible for the initial set-up, testing, and commissioning of various commercial HVAC systems, including large Rooftop Units (RTU), Split systems, and Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) systems. The successful candidate will have substantial experience with HVAC systems from leading manufacturers like Carrier, Trane, Mitsubishi, LG, and Daikin.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform start-up procedures on new commercial HVAC systems, ensuring their proper operation and functionality.

  2. Inspect and test systems to verify system compliance with plans and specifications, and to detect and locate malfunctions.

  3. Complete paperwork accurately and on time, including start-up sheets, warranty paperwork, and service reports.

  4. Collaborate with the installation team to ensure HVAC systems are installed correctly and ready for start-up.

  5. Educate customers about their new systems, including basic maintenance and troubleshooting procedures.

Qualifications:

  1. EPA Certification is required.

  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience as an HVAC technician with a focus on commercial system start-ups, including large RTU, Split systems, and VRF systems.

  3. Manufacturer's certifications from Carrier, Trane, Mitsubishi, LG, and Daikin are preferred.

  4. Comprehensive understanding of HVAC systems, procedures, and safety measures.

  5. Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

  6. Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain complex HVAC information in understandable terms.

  7. Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
