Location: Cheyenne, WY

Overview: We are actively seeking a Commercial Refrigeration Technician for our operations in Cheyenne, WY. This crucial role is designed for a technician skilled in performing maintenance, diagnostic, and repair activities on various refrigeration systems and temperature-controlled units, with a primary focus on the food retail industry. The candidate should possess a strong technical background in managing complex refrigeration, heating, and air-conditioning systems, ensuring they operate at peak efficiency and reliability.

Responsibilities:
  • Execute routine and preventative maintenance tasks on a broad spectrum of refrigeration systems and self-contained temperature units.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues with both refrigeration racks and single-unit systems, including conducting leak repairs, replacing components, and handling system installations.
  • Design and install required supports and piping, adhering to all industry standards and regulations.
  • Employ diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately complete repairs and maintenance duties.
  • Organize and document service calls and project information efficiently, maintaining clear and timely communication.
  • Maintain a service vehicle in good condition, ensuring it is well-organized, stocked, and adheres to maintenance schedules and safety standards.
  • Build and sustain excellent customer relationships through outstanding service and effective technical communication.

Requirements:
  • A High School Diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of 5 years of field experience, or 3 years with a Technical School Certification in HVAC-R.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems.
  • Familiarity with electrical schematics and a solid understanding of basic electrical principles.
  • Competence in safely managing refrigerants and other hazardous materials.

Preferred:
  • Degree from an HVAC-R Technical School.
  • Experience with specific refrigeration systems and brands is a plus.
