Job Title: Commercial HVAC Service Technician

About the Role:
We are currently seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join our team in San Diego, CA. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in the service and repair of large RTUs, chillers, boilers, VRFs, among other HVAC equipment. We prefer applicants with start-up commissioning expertise, manufacturer training, and certifications. The ideal candidate will be local, have a stable work history, and be comfortable working in various commercial environments.
Responsibilities:
- Service and repair of large commercial HVAC systems, including RTUs, chillers, boilers, and VRFs.
- Conduct start-up and commissioning of HVAC systems in a commercial setting.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose HVAC systems using advanced tools and equipment.
- Respond to emergency service requests promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of each job performed and provide technical support as necessary.
- Comply with all safety policies and procedures and maintain a clean and safe workspace.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience as a Commercial HVAC Service Technician, working with large HVAC equipment.
- Manufacturer training and certifications are highly desired.
- Experience with start-up and commissioning of HVAC systems.
- Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems and equipment including RTUs, chillers, boilers, and VRFs.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Must be physically capable of performing the duties of the position, including lifting heavy equipment and working in various conditions.
- Must be local to San Diego, CA or willing to relocate.
Preferred:
- EPA Universal Certification.
- Advanced training or certification in HVAC from a recognized institution.
- Familiarity with the latest HVAC software and diagnostic tools.
