Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Piping/Plumbing BIM Manager in Phoenix, AZ, to lead our BIM efforts in Mechanical HVAC, DWV, Mechanical Pipe, Plumbing, and Process Pipe projects. This position involves creating detailed 3D models, attending coordination meetings, collaborating across disciplines, and ensuring clear communication for fabrication and installation. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in 3D modelling of mechanical or plumbing systems using Autodesk Revit MEP and Navisworks. This role requires strong leadership skills to mentor BIM Coordinators and a proactive approach to contribute to the team's success.
Major Responsibilities:
- Create Mechanical HVAC, DWV, Mechanical Pipe, Plumbing, and Process Pipe 3D models.
- Attend and contribute to client coordination meetings.
- Collaborate effectively with other disciplines to ensure project success.
- Generate and submit RFIs to the design team for clarification and resolution.
- Produce detailed shop drawings for fabrication and installation, including export for use with robotic total station.
- Guide field personnel to ensure fabrication and installation align with project intentions.
- Mentor BIM Coordinators in modelling, collaboration software, and drawing/document preparation.
- Assist in developing Revit families and recommend hardware/software requirements to management.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in 3D modelling of mechanical or plumbing systems.
- Proficient in Autodesk Revit MEP, Navisworks, and Bluebeam solutions.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Understanding of construction principles, project management, and estimation.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Detail-oriented, quality-driven, and self-motivated with the ability to work in a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Experience with Autodesk Forge, Dynamo, and BIM360.
- 2+ years of construction-related experience.
