Position Summary
The Senior Commercial HVAC Project Manager is responsible for the overall management and execution of large HVAC projects from inception to completion. You will oversee all project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will have extensive project management experience in large-scale commercial HVAC projects.
Location
This role is based in San Francisco, CA, and serves the surrounding Bay Area. This is a local position; remote work is not available.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage large HVAC projects from start to finish, ensuring successful delivery on time and within budget
- Lead project planning sessions, coordinate with internal teams, and communicate with clients to set expectations and timelines
- Prepare and monitor project schedules using MS Project
- Utilize Bluebeam for document management and review
- Negotiate contracts and work with subcontractors and vendors to ensure adequate resources for the project
- Collaborate with engineers and architects to create effective HVAC designs and plans
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry best practices
- Track project costs, prepare financial reports, and maintain excellent records
- Provide regular project updates to stakeholders
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of project management experience in large commercial HVAC projects
- Extensive experience in overseeing projects in hospitals, schools, labs, and data centers
- Proficiency in MS Project and Bluebeam
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Stable work history demonstrating dedication and career growth
- Must be a local candidate residing in or willing to relocate to San Francisco, CA
