Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Commercial Plumbing/HVAC Assistant Project Manager to join our team in Honolulu, HI. The ideal candidate should have a local presence, a stable work history, and possess a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or Construction Management. With 8+ years of experience in commercial plumbing and HVAC, including design, estimating, and project management, the candidate should be proficient with tools such as BlueBeam, MS Project, and Procore. Previous involvement in large commercial projects is highly desirable.
Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: Assist in leading commercial plumbing and HVAC projects from inception to successful completion.
- Design Oversight: Collaborate with design teams to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of plumbing and HVAC system designs.
- Estimation Support: Contribute to the estimation process, providing insightful input for accurate cost assessments.
- Project Coordination: Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets to achieve project goals.
- Document Management: Utilize tools such as BlueBeam and Procore for effective document control and project coordination.
- Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate with clients, architects, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.
- Quality Assurance: Oversee and enforce quality assurance measures to meet industry standards and client expectations.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all plumbing and HVAC activities adhere to safety regulations and best practices.
- Reporting: Generate regular and comprehensive project status reports for senior management and clients.
- MS Project Proficiency: Skillfully use MS Project for project scheduling, resource allocation, and efficient project management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or Construction Management.
- Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in commercial plumbing and HVAC design, estimating, and project management.
- Proficiency in construction management tools such as BlueBeam, MS Project, and Procore.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively.
- Previous experience with large commercial projects is highly desirable.
