Job Overview:

The Building Automation Controls Director will be responsible for managing and leading all aspects of our building automation controls division. This includes overseeing the design, development, installation, and maintenance of building automation systems, as well as ensuring the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective, and innovative solutions to our clients. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of building automation technologies, and a passion for creating energy-efficient, sustainable buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement the strategic vision and direction for the building automation controls division, ensuring alignment with overall company goals and objectives.

  2. Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers, technicians, and project managers responsible for the design, development, installation, and maintenance of building automation systems.

  3. Collaborate with sales, marketing, and business development teams to identify new business opportunities and grow the building automation controls division.

  4. Oversee project planning and execution, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with client specifications and industry standards.

  5. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and partners, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction and loyalty.

  6. Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to building automation and energy management, and drive continuous improvement and innovation within the team.

  7. Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics for the building automation controls division.

  8. Ensure compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry standards and best practices.

  9. Collaborate with other departments to develop and deliver comprehensive, integrated building solutions that meet client needs and expectations.

  10. Participate in industry conferences, workshops, and events to represent the company and promote our building automation solutions.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Building Automation, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.

  2. Minimum 10 years of experience in building automation, controls, or a related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management role.

  3. Extensive knowledge of building automation systems, technologies, and industry best practices.

  4. Strong project management skills, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.

  5. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and team members.

  6. Results-driven and customer-focused, with a strong commitment to quality, innovation, and continuous improvement.

  7. Proficient in relevant software, including building automation system platforms, project management tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.

  8. Professional certifications in building automation, energy management, or related fields are a plus.
