Job Description:

The Building Automation Controls Estimator will be responsible for creating, managing, and reviewing control system estimates for commercial HVAC projects. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in building automation systems, providing accurate and competitive estimates that will aid the sales and project management team.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough analysis of drawings and specifications to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Project Management teams to understand the scope and requirements of the project.
  • Generate comprehensive cost and labor estimates for building automation control projects.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate reports, comparing estimated and actual costs.
  • Participate in proposal presentations and client meetings.
  • Keep updated knowledge on industry trends and advancements in technology.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in building automation controls estimating.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) is preferred.
  • Installation, service, point to point, programming, sales, and project management experience is a plus.
  • A solid understanding of Tridium, Niagara, ALC, Alerton, and N4 systems. Certification is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects concurrently.
