Job Title: Building Automation Controls Sales Executive

Location: Orange County, CA

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Building Automation Controls Sales Executive to join our team in Orange County, CA. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales of our advanced building automation control systems within the region. This individual will work closely with building owners, general and mechanical contractors, as well as design engineers to provide a comprehensive suite of automation solutions.

Responsibilities:

  1. Drive sales of building automation control systems, IoT solutions, and related services within the assigned territory.
  2. Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the marketplace, competitor offerings, and industry trends.
  3. Identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities with existing and potential customers.
  4. Develop and implement strategic account management plans to grow the business in new markets or adjacent segments.
  5. Collaborate with internal teams to deliver excellent customer service and tailored automation solutions.
  6. Achieve sales targets and deliver on forecasted results consistently.
  7. Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline through networking, account development, and partnerships.
  8. Attend industry-specific networking events and actively participate in professional organizations to build a network of contacts and represent the company in the market.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the building automation controls industry.
  3. Demonstrated success in a similar role, with a strong track record of achieving sales targets.
  4. Excellent knowledge of building automation systems, IoT platforms, and related technologies.
  5. Strong networking skills, with a proven ability to develop and maintain customer relationships.
  6. Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  7. Self-starter, with a strong drive for results and the ability to work independently.
  8. Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Technical expertise in SolidWorks, C++, or related software.
  2. Experience with strategic planning and forecasting in a sales role.
