Job Description:

The Building Automation Controls Service Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing building automation systems. The role demands high technical expertise in commercial HVAC systems and a strong background in building automation controls. Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and commission building automation systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance and service checks on building automation controls.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with existing systems and implement effective solutions.
  • Interface and communicate effectively with clients, engineers, and project managers.
  • Conduct system analysis and recommend improvements for energy efficiency.
  • Complete all documentation related to service work performed.
  • Assist with the training of junior technicians.
  • Remain up-to-date on industry best practices, equipment, and technology.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Associate degree in a technical field is a plus.
  • Minimum three years of experience in building automation controls service, start-up, and commissioning.
  • Must have a stable work history.

Preferred: 

  • Niagara N4 Certification.
  • Other relevant certifications and training in commercial HVAC and building automation controls.
  • Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems and mechanical/electrical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical schematics.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools and software utilized in the industry.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Local candidates are highly preferred.
