Job Title: Building Automation Controls Service Technician

Location: San Diego, CA

Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Building Automation Controls Service Technician with a strong technical background and a proven work history in the industry. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of hands-on experience in installation, service, diagnosis, repair, programming, and graphics related to building automation systems. Experience with systems such as Distech Niagara, ALC Alerton, Johnson Controls, and Metasys is highly preferred. This role demands a stable local work history and a commitment to excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:

  1. Install, program, repair, and maintain various building automation systems including, but not limited to, Distech Niagara, ALC Alerton, Johnson Controls, and Metasys.
  2. Perform regular service checks and troubleshooting to detect and resolve problems, making necessary adjustments or repairs.
  3. Develop and design graphics for control systems.
  4. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the installation process, system operations, and the scheduling of different controls.
  5. Respond to service calls promptly and resolve issues in an efficient and timely manner.
  6. Work closely with the team and customers to ensure systems meet their needs and requirements.
  7. Document all installations, inspections, maintenance, and repair work.
  8. Adhere to all safety standards and local codes.
  9. Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs.
  10. Maintain a high degree of regard for customer satisfaction and deliver exceptional service.

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of three years of experience in building automation systems service and installation.
  2. Expertise in Distech Niagara, ALC Alerton, Johnson Controls, and Metasys preferred.
  3. Proven experience with system diagnostics and troubleshooting.
  4. Knowledge in programming and graphics for building automation systems.
  5. Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical systems, and relevant codes.
  6. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  7. Stable work history in the local area.
  8. Must have a clean driving record and a valid driver's license.
  9. Ability to work independently and within a team.
