We are currently seeking an experienced Centrifugal Chiller Mechanic / Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join our growing team.

Responsibilities:

As a Centrifugal Chiller Mechanic / Commercial HVAC Service Technician, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

  1. Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial and industrial HVAC systems, with a focus on centrifugal chiller systems, including magnetic, screw, air, and water chillers.

  2. Conduct regular inspections and testing of HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with industry standards and regulations.

  3. Diagnose and repair complex HVAC system issues, including mechanical, electrical, and control components.

  4. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation to accurately assess HVAC system requirements.

  5. Provide exceptional customer service, promptly addressing client inquiries and concerns, and maintaining strong relationships with clients.

  6. Complete detailed and accurate service reports for clients and management, documenting work performed, parts used, and recommendations for future maintenance.

  7. Stay up-to-date on industry trends, advancements in technology, and best practices to maintain a high level of expertise in the field.

  8. Collaborate effectively with team members, sharing knowledge and providing support as needed.

  9. Adhere to all safety procedures and protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.

  10. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and maintain certifications.

Requirements:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent; trade school or vocational training in HVAC is strongly preferred.

  2. 5-15 years of hands-on experience in commercial and industrial HVAC systems, with a focus on centrifugal chiller systems, including magnetic, screw, air, and water chillers.

  3. Valid EPA Universal Refrigerant Handling Certification.

  4. Strong understanding of HVAC systems, including mechanical, electrical, and control components.

  5. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.

  6. Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

  7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on providing excellent customer service.

  8. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

  9. Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

  10. Willingness to participate in on-call rotation, as needed.

  11. Local and stable work history demonstrating reliability and commitment to the industry.
