Job Summary: As a Commercial HVAC-BAS Service/Start-Up Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, start-up, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of commercial HVAC and BAS systems. You will work closely with our clients, ensuring that our systems are functioning optimally and efficiently while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Install, commission, start-up, and troubleshoot commercial HVAC and BAS systems according to manufacturer specifications and company guidelines.
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks to ensure the optimal performance of HVAC and BAS equipment.
- Diagnose and repair system malfunctions, including hardware, software, and network issues.
- Calibrate and adjust system components to maximize efficiency and energy savings.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other technicians to ensure that project specifications and timelines are met.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients and addressing their concerns promptly and professionally.
- Maintain detailed records of completed service calls, system performance, and maintenance activities.
- Continuously expand knowledge of industry trends, new products, and emerging technologies through ongoing education and training.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or training in HVAC and BAS systems preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in commercial HVAC and BAS service, start-up, and troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC and BAS design principles, installation, and commissioning processes.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, meters, and test equipment.
- Familiarity with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to clients and team members.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- EPA Section 608 certification preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities with strong attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
