Position Summary
The Commercial HVAC Estimator prepares detailed cost estimates for HVAC systems in commercial projects. This role involves a deep understanding of HVAC systems and exceptional analytical and communication skills. The ideal candidate will have extensive Trimble AutoBid experience and a proven track record in large HVAC estimating.
Location
This position is based in our Orange County, CA office. Candidates must be local, as remote work is not an option for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for HVAC systems in large commercial projects, including hospitals, stadiums, schools, labs, data centers, and high-rise buildings.
- Review plans and specifications to determine project requirements.
- Use Trimble AutoBid for estimating purposes.
- Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing and availability of materials and equipment.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and the sales team.
- Analyze various project risks and provide alternative solutions.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and pricing strategies.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in commercial HVAC estimating
- Advanced knowledge of Trimble AutoBid
- Proven experience with large HVAC estimating projects
- Stable work history demonstrating reliability and dedication
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Must be a local candidate residing in or willing to relocate to Orange County, CA
