Job Description: Commercial HVAC Estimator

Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze project blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for commercial HVAC projects.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and vendors to gather detailed information, ensuring accurate estimates.
- Utilize Quickpen/Trimble Autobid software to develop detailed and precise project estimates.
- To ensure competitive and accurate bid submissions, stay updated with market trends, material costs, and labor rates.
- Provide clear and detailed explanations of estimates, including breakdowns of materials, labor, equipment, and overhead costs.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client consultations to understand project requirements and potential challenges.
- Continuously refine estimating processes and methodologies, ensuring the organization stays at the forefront of industry best practices.
Qualifications:
- Must be based in or near Orange, CA.
- A stable work history.
- A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in commercial HVAC estimating.
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, materials, and construction processes.
- Proficiency with Quickpen/Trimble Autobid software.
- Exceptional analytical and mathematical skills.
- Superior attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Practical communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
